Sansa Connect Review Part Deux

If you missed my last article on my Sansa Express you may not know that I had dropped it in my bath tub and had to replace it. This was after my sister had ruined my iPod, by doing the same thing.
After all of this. I decided to give the Sansa Connect a try.
First you should know that after using many kinds of mp3 players, Sansa products are a pure joy after my hate-filled affair with Appleʼs iPod (further proof on how much Apple sucks: an update program ran through my sisterʼs iTunes and deleted her 4000+ song library).
So to me, comparing one Sansa to another is like apples to apples (no pun intended). But, if you have the extra cash, are looking for something with a higher memory capacity, and a video player, I highly recommend the Sansa Connect over my previously reviewed Sansa Express.
Loading files into the Connect was just as easy as with my Express (click and drag, baby), which made transferring my music from one device to another super easy. The only thing that was a little bothersome was that the Express was small and compact, and had a removable cap that allowed it to be plugged directly into the computer like a thumb drive, whereas the Connect had a lanky cord. Of course, the design of the Connect wouldnʼt have been as sleek and ergonomic with an awkward USB ding-a-ling that plugged directly into my port, so Iʼll forgive that minor flaw.
The extra space on the Connect was definitely needed, seeing as how my Express was just about reaching maximum capacity. Plus, the Connect has the ability to connect to the internet via wi-fi and you can listen to even more music from Yahoo! radio there. Another cool feature was the built-in speaker that gave me a break from uncomfortable earphones.
I have recently learned that the good folks at Sansa have a variety of accessories for the Connect, including an arm band (useful for all you joggers out there) and colored silicone covers (just in case you want to jazz it up).
If your budget will allow roughly twice the price of the Express (on sale now! at sandisk.com), a multi-colored screen that can accommodate video and twice the memory sounds totally worth it to me.

What does that mean it only downloads songs when it wants to? Click and drag, dude, it can't be more simple than that? What kind of problems are you having?
