Susan Boyle - What do you think?

Susan Boyle's astounding, sudden success just keeps on growing.

The dowdy, 47-year-old unemployed volunteer church worker from Blackburn, Scotland stunned judges, audience members and viewers alike a week ago with her performance of "I Dreamed A Dream" from "Les Miserables," and now the YouTube clip of her appearance has been seen more than 25 million times..

She has been all over the TV and even has been interviewd by Larry King.

Here Susan Boyle sings 'My Heart Will Go On' for CNN's Larry King show.

What do you think. Flash in the pan or is she going somewhere?

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

What do guys think about Lady Gaga? I think her songs are great and very upbeat. They are great for listening to or dancing to.

I am adding this to my Sansa Playlist. What about you?

Flo Rida - Right Round

Flo Rida created a new new song that is topping the charts right now. It is loosley based on the original song but he put some much more into it.

Here is the original 'Right Round' by Dead orAlive.

Here is Flo Ridas song.

I am kinda digging Flo Ridas version. What do you think?

Crack a Bottle by Eminem

Crack a Bottle by Eminem is in the top ten right now but I have to say that it is not that good.

Very repetetive and not that inventive. What do you think?

Should John Legend sing "Lets get it on"?

Here is what I consider the best version of Marvin Gaye singing Let's get it on.

And here is my favorite song by John Legend. Slow Dance.

They are both great! What I am wondering is... Do you think John Legend should cover 'Let's get it on'?

Does Anyone Listen to Howard Stern?

I just read an article on the New York Times that said no one cares about Howard Stern anymore. For your information it is here.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/28/business/media/28radio.html?ref=business

I for one would have to agree. Between the Sirius/XM debacle and the fact that he is no longer a "Shock Jock", especially on Sirius he is just another channel that may or may not be interesting. All he has anymore is a show about "nothing" just like Seinfeld had.

They talk about what happened during their time between shows and what personal things the "stars"did and things like that.  Do the masses care what Artie did when on vacation, or what Wendy the Retar.. or Nap A%% Ed, or what Eric the Midget (Actor) etc, did lately? I don't know but it is old news and he is throwing out there.

Howard, you are now on Sirius, you need to step it up or just play out your contract. From what I see you are trying to just play out your contract. Anyone could do that.

John Legend - Slow Dance

John Legend’s “Slow Dance” video gives of the most soulful package of all—John Legend himself in concert delivering his sexy, come hither message with his smooth, effortless vocal delivery.

This Slow Dance video shows why Legend’s music is best showcased by alluring images of Mr. Sensual’s own performance. The video is likely to get Legend’s female fans all hot and bothered and eager for more—videos that is. John Legend offers the ultimate blend of Jazz, R&B, gospel and soul in his take on this song.

Pavement's Slanted and Enchanted

I am kinda getting hooked on Slanted and Enchanted, the indie band Pavement's album

This was re-released not too long ago and combines some of their best EP songs with a live concert at the end.

For those that didn't buy the reissue, these are a must-hear!

In fact, this is one of those rare times when the extra material is just as intriguing as the actual album.

Take a little time and listen to this and let me know what you think.

I Kissed a Girl - before?

Many of you may not remember this, but Jill Sobule had a hit with a song entitled "I Kissed a Girl" back in 1995, long before Katy Perry exploded with her own tune; a different song with the same title. Here's the first time we "Kissed":

Unlike my feelings for a similar situation involving a Rhianna song that shares the title of a Madonna hit ("Take a Bow" anyone?), I actually really like both versions of this song. They both have different sentiments, so I don't feel like it's an original that's being recycled. But... what does the first girl-kisser have to say about the latter?

Jill Sobule spoke out: “I don't feel precious about the title, but I've gotten tons of e-mails from annoyed fans....Some think it’s more of a Girls Gone Wild thing than anything shocking or empowering to true gay feelings....Maybe I'll write a third 'I Kissed a Girl' for fun. It will be about how I kissed her, I left the dull boyfriend, got gay-married in California, and really no one gave a s---.

Sid Melancon Country's Rising Star

If you are into Country Music you should check out Sid's Album.

"On My Own" by Sid Melancon is a collection of impressive country songs brought to you with a modern sound and a bit of tradition. The album is strong in many ways. The lyrics are clever and tell a story. Sid's vocals are certainly memorable, both in terms of excellent pitch as well as his well-suited country voice. The excellent harmonies in the choruses of many of these tracks are also noteworthy. The arrangements and musicianship behind Sid's vocals are professional, lively, and well layered. Overall the CD has a commercial radio-ready professional quality. Highlights include "Stronger in Love," a tale of love lost that is a definite sing-along. "Done Her Wrong" is a high energy upbeat tune, with a nice walking bass line and fun solos. "Just What to do" is another "barn-burner" with nothing but a good time in mind. If you enjoy country music, especially male country vocalists, you'll like this one.

Portable Audio Amplifier

I travel some and have a hard time hearing my music and videos on the airplanes.

What I have found is that with a simple Portable Audio Amplifier I can amplify and enhance the sound quality to a much better level.

There are a couple of different options when it comes to Portable Headphone Audio Amplifiers. One is the Boostaroo, which has the ability to will double the available volume from your audio player and separate the audio signal into individual stereo channels to drive 3 separate sets of headphones or speakers.

Naturally it will depend on the ohm rating of your headphones, but the Boostaroo can increase the volume of your player by 100% with no more than a 0.3% harmonic distortion.

If you are watching or listening to something that two or tree people want to hear I highly recommend the Boostaroo.

If you are looking for something that

Paris Hilton runs for President

Remember that John McCain attack ad that compared Barack Obama to airhead celebrities Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Well, it seems that John McCain has unleashed something far worse than accusations of race baiting or mud slinging. He's unleashed the full star power of Paris Hilton herself. The hotel heiress has posted a clip on popular video site Funny or Die running for President. From the video:

Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity too. Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot.

But then that wrinkly white haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for president. So thanks for the endorsement white-haired dude and I want America to know that, like, I'm totally ready to lead.

She's even mastered the art of triangulation and campaigning from the centre. Case in point, her energy policy at 1:06 in the clip. Wonder what she has to say about the subprime mortgage crisis and the war in Iraq?

Miley Cyrus To Debut At No. 1

Miley Cyrus will land her second No. 1 album on The Billboard 200 tomorrow (July 30), as "Breakout" bows with 371,000 U.S. copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's the second-biggest sales week of the year for a female artist, following the 463,000 debut of Mariah Carey's "E=MC2".

Cyrus' last album, the half soundtrack, half studio set "Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus" (Hollywood/Walt Disney), started at No. 1 last summer with 326,000.

The first "Hanna Montana" soundtrack, which launched her recording career, also bowed at No. 1 in 2006, with first-week sales of 281,000. It went on to be the best seller of that year's fourth quarter with less than three months of shelf life.

Debuting in the runner-up slot on The Billboard 200 is country duo Sugarland with the deluxe version of "Love on the Inside" (314,000). It's easily the Mercury Nashville act's best sales week and highest charting album ever. The band's previous high came with 2006's

The Novice's Guide To Audio Formats and File Extensions

Virtually everyone uses these various audio formats. Who hasn’t heard of iTunes or RealPlayer? Whether we realize it or not, this is good information for all of us to know. Let’s cover the basics, shall we?

MP3

Created by a contingent of European engineers in the early 90’s, MP3 (aka, MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3) has become something of a household name in today’s world. With MP3 players galore, and iPods everywhere, most everyone uses or at least knows of the MP3 audio format. But do you really know what MP3 is?

In one sentence, the MP3 audio codec compresses the number of bytes used to store an audio file without noticeably lessening the sound quality. But, how does it do that? It uses a compression algorithm. And what is that? How does it work? All good questions – let’s find out.

An algorithm is simply a fancy-schmancy word meaning a set of rules created for solving a specific problem, in an outlined

Great new Country Artist!

I just stumbled upon this great new Country artist and her new song. You have got to hear it, it's pretty good!

Check out her latest music video!
It is written by: Amie Lynn and Peter Amato

Produced by: Peter Amato.

See her at http://amielynnmusic.com/

Too bad it is not available yet, but when she comes out with a new CD, I will be first in line to buy it!

I kissed a girl

All I can say, is this video makes me think, and wonder.

Here are the lyrics.

This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion
It's not what, I'm used to
Just wanna try you on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
Your my experimental game
Just human nature
It's not what, good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets so confused
Hard to obey

I kissed a girl and I liked it

Biggest Online Dance Battle In The History Of Mankind!

They say this is the Biggest Online Dance Battle In The History Of Mankind! I don't know about that, but the song is very good. Done by The Pippetts.

It also is a good example of how once your post a video of yourself, it is free game for others to use! Keep that in mind....

Can you tell me what Pull Shapes mean?

Eruption by Van Halen

By now everyone has heard "You really got me" by Van Halen

This is the song that you hear on the radio. But, have you ever heard the into into the song? It's called Eruption.

This intro is what make Van Halen Not Van Hager. Listen to this. If you are into music this is what it is all about!

Caution This can be Addictive

We were recently debating what is the best Mahna-Mahna song. The Sesame Street version or the Muppet show version.

The problem is we can’t get the dang song out of our head! Thanks Emily…. Laughing

Anyway, you decide. Here is the original Sesame street version.

Here is the Muppet Show Version.

What do you like the best?

Both are great, but I’m more of a Muppet guy. The “Sesame Street” version is cool, but the lead singer is slightly creepy. He’s got a little bit too much of a Charles Manson thing going for children’s television.

Both skits were performed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz (Oz handled the background singer puppets — one on each hand).

Warning, if you play these, they will stick in your head and you will have a heck of a time getting them out!
