Why not just buy an iPod?

I mean really, what was YOUR reason?

It's all about the music, man.

I picked up a 2GB Sansa C150 for 70 bucks. A 1GB Shuffle is 10 bucks more, half the capacity, and doesn't have a screen (I don't embrace uncertainty). Simple as that.

I can't connect to Yahoo! Music and instantly listen to new music with an Ipod :-)

The Sansa Connect is the best way to listen to different types of music.  I can listen to a different number of genres as well as listen to my favorite channel...adult comedy.  All this is done wirelessly.

why SHOULD I buy ipod? Just because everybody have it?

I think there are a lot of people who bought ipod just for the sake of being cool. I don't like ipod because it is so expensive. I get much bigger storage with sansa for less price.

I don't like the idea of being force to use itune.

My sansa is not perfect. I still have to figure out how to handle the bad track problems. But I didn't regret

my decision of buying sansa.

the trouble is that a lot of us (including myself) are already iPod users

we're also heavily invested in iTunes

has anyone here switched from iTunes to Sansa? what are your thoughts on the migration?

I've considered picking up a Sansa, but like dkaz, I already own an iPod. However, I've never bought a single iTune for it, and I've never had any problems playing (legal) content on my Nano.

I think the Sansa's really slick, and I like that it has so much more to offer as far as potential functionality goes. While I didn't care for the feel and response of the navigation wheel, I did have a lot of fun playing with a friend's Sansa at work the other day. Gadget freak that I am, I'll probably end up buying one by the end of the year; overall, I'm fairly impressed with the device and what you can do with it.

While I doubt I'll stop using my Nano, there's no reason I can't use both, right? ;)
