if the Sansa updater program will not work as it did not for me. Then you have a bricked player. i have the c150 2gb model it's 1/2 bricked ,and c140 1gb model. the 140 is for my G/f. the C150 will not update and gives error codes. anyways 3 Sandisk techs tell me if the updater will not work ,and give you error codes then have like a said a bricked player. the C100 series has some build quality issues. They are so cheap now you can get a C150 2gb model off there store website for $21.98 after the shipping. hope this helps you out. Also the little Clip is a good upgrade i have a 1gb of those as well ,and it works like a dream with the new firmware. :-) p.s. I also have a new C150 on order from the Sansa Store ,and once i get it in i can let you know how it does for me if you like. :-)
