Did you ever get one?
I know this isn't about mp3 players -- but life is not ONLY about the music.
I've been circling around, patiently, waiting to take the plunge into Tivo-land.
It's sorta been the cost that held me back. (But it's also that when I "go gadget" I go crazy -- and I was waiting for the right moment to unleash my obsessive demons on the "home theater" thang.)
But Tivo just released a cheaper model -- the TiVo HD -- for about $300 bucks. (Which is a LOT cheaper!) So I have no excuse to wait. This just happened, the news just broke, and I'm standing at the edge of a new techno adventure. I'm thinking of just buying it -- right here, right now.
Many of you are (i'm sure) already deep into TiVo world (and watch your fav shows whenever you want). Some of you may have been "holding off" like me.
Here is a description of the new model, written by Sansacommunity member Matt Whitlock on his own blog -- with all the techno-finesse he brings to his writings.
Anyone have any advice for me?

I bought a couple of the TiVo HD refurbished units from their website. Same warranty as their new models. They work great, I highly suggest you have your cable company install Cable Card(s) in the DVR to get the full benefits of the system and the service.
