Based on what I've read regarding similar problems other's have reported, I'd say you might want to give Sandisk's support number a call. They may walk you through a few suggestions, and if in warranty, replace the unit.

If they do give you some troubleshooting steps, please post their recommendations here so others facing the same problem can find it.
