Found this interesting forum thread.  Thought it might be of interest.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I use napster with the sansa view. I am not sure it is officially supported by napster, but everything seemed to load fine. Put 12gigs of music on it and went for a long plane ride. Not even 4 hours into the ride, I start getting "BAD TRACK". All my napster music was "BAD TRACK", everything else worked. SO of course something to do with DRM. I see there is a new firmware, but from the discription, everything that new firmware addresses has nothing to do with this problem and I am not big on going to a new firmware for no reason.

So after flying for another 10 hours WITHOUT MUSIC (my whole reason for getting the damn thing was to listen to music on that flight), I am now able to hook the player up to my laptop and resync the music. However, it won't resync. It is now locking up constantly. If I hook it to my laptop and pull the cable off it, the player still shows "connected" on it's screen even though the cable is off.

I went ahead and reformatted the view and upon hooking it back up, notice it now has more folders then it did when I had it "brand new out the box". "Brand new out the box" it only had a MUSIC folder, a DATA folder and version.SDK file. I read how to put video on there and it was telling me..open media folder...UHM...there is no media folder. I went ahead and just made a VIDEO folder myself and loaded videos into that. It seemed to work, so I didn't think too hard about it.

Then I reformatted and what do you know, now I have a Data folder and a Media folder. The Media folder has sub-folders for Music, Videos, Recordings, Pictures , SERVICE folder, etc...

Going to reload my music and see how that goes. But I have to wonder if they screwed up at the factory, because the folders in my player was not the way it was suppose to be or if Best Buy/Sandisk is packaging used players and selling them as new.
