For some reason, my system is half full on memory, and I have just formatted it. Can anyone help me to understand and fix?

Can you tell us what you did, step-by-step, to format it? All the settings you used?

I just purchased this unit recently.  I was disappointed to see that a lot of the memory was already full when I received it.  Looking on the system, I saw that there was a bunch of Rhapsody music on the system that I didn't want.  I couldn't figure out how to remove it, so I finally went into the Rhapsody system and chose Format.

After it was over, I saw that the system was still half full.  I tried going through all of the folders and they were empty...

 I appreciate any help you can provide.

Does anyone have any ideas on solutions here?

 Thanks.

You can try this.

*Disconnect the device, turn it on
*Go to Settings > USB Mode > MSC
*Connect the device
* Open up My Computer
*Under the heading "Devices with Removable Storage"
Look for Sansa E250 (Removable Drive) - Note: this heading
"Devices with Removable Storage" applies to the "Arrange Icon By: Type" , option in My Computer Window
* Right-click on the E250 and choose format
*Click "Start" and agree to the format

Tired of waiting for your device to do what you need it to?
