Hi folks,

I just bought an e250 from buy.com and they shipped a e250R instead. I have no interest in subscribing to Rhapsody and I also noticed that 1.2 Gb of the advertised 2 Gb of capacity is used when it comes out of the box. Is there a way to reformat this unit to a regular e250? I tried the online firmware update and it will not recognize the player…says to switch the USB mode, but under the menu>settings>mode, the only options are “Rhapsody” or Playforsure”. Neither mode seems supported by Windows Vista, and when I try to use the Rhapsody program supplied on the install CD, I keep getting annoying nag screens wanting me to subscribe to Rhapsody (I DON’T want to!).

Any help appreciated before I return it for a refund (they say they are out of the regular e250’s).
