Does anyone know when we might see some good accessories specifically for the new Sansa View? The only made-for-it case I can find is the DLO action jacket which I hate. I am looking for a silicone skin, and no one seems to make one yet. Any ideas?

http://www.daydeal.com/home.php?cat=2718 <- DayDeal has some Sansa View accessories including some skins and even a tv-out cable. I found them today. I've never heard of them but their prices are pretty cheap and they have a pretty good rating on BizRate.

Found a two very nice bundle stes on Ebay.  You also have the option of buying these things individually.

Thanks, both of you. I'm glad to see the product is at least out there! Ebay seems to be the way to go!

I recently purchased the Sansa View (8GB) and like you have had a difficult time finding a case.

Today I found one at Best Buy.  It is an "Action Jacket" by DLO......specifically for the Sansa View.  It has a padded black neoprene cover with a screen shield that has cut-outs for the dial, on/off switch, and ear bud port.  There is a clip on the back and it also comes with an armband.
Price: $29.99.

Best Buy also had a pretty nice/wide armband by Griffin specifically for the Sansa View with a screen shield priced at $31.99.

Hope this helps!  Love the View!

Blessings!

Love my View :)

I'm trying to obtain a suitable docking station with speakers for use with my View. I want to use this in my living room as my main audio system so I am not loking for a portable docking station particularly. I would also like it to charge the player while it's docked and a remote control would be good as well. Can anyone recommend anything suitable?

Matt just posted a good article on the I-nique Case for the Clip here.
http://www.sansacommunity.com/article/11074/I-nique-Sansa-Clip-Leather-Case-R...

The reason I bring it up is because we will be testing more cases for the View in the next week or so and reporting on them too.
Stay tuned and you should get some good info on which case to use.

Wish I could help but don't have any experience with that case. Did you try Googling it for answers?

Looking at this kit...

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=205838002

Lists Compatibility as Sansa players: c140, c150, c240, c250, e250, e260, e270, e280

is there any reason why it would NOT work with the View? are the jacks on the view different than the 280?

Thank you kindly,
Scott

That is a great deal. I can't tell you for sure if it will work but if not you can always return it. :)

well...it seeems that this charger...

http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?productid=14379

works for all the sansa models...so they must all have the same jack. I'm going with the buy.com accessory set...the ones on ebay have more pieces...but those extras dont seem worthwhile. Besides the buy.com set comes with a carry case that even the View can go into...and my daughter needs something to keep it all together... :-)

Thank you kindly,
Scott

That makes good sense. Great job on the research!

I have the Griffin Streamline armband and am finding it to be useless. There is no accommodation for the on/off button so I ended up cutting out a small side slot for that. The hole for the selection wheel is too small so trying to select a song, change the volume or anything else typically requires removing the armband from your arm so that you can see what's happening on the screen. Because the hole is undersized you'll also have to really work at making whatever selections because the case is pressing against the selection wheel and even then you may not get what you're after. The neoprene backing is also extremely tight which means when you're taking it out of the case or putting it back in after cleaning it's more difficult than it should be and you also have to try and get at the on/off switch because forcing it in or out of the case has either locked or turned off the player. Somebody needs to do a major rethink of the design on this case.

does the sansa view work with the Ihome or Ipod docking stereos?? A guy at best buy told me they have the same connection as the ipod. I don't want to wreck my sansa view--does anyone know if the view is compatible with some of the ipod docking stereo systems?

From what I understand Ipod and Zune cables are wired differently. If you plug into one of those, there's a very good chance at making a paperweight outta your player :/

Try the Griffin PowerDock for Sansa. Available at sansaworld.com

http://www.sansaworld.com/product/powerdock

It is the last dock available for Sansa products.

Get the most from your Sansa.
