I have downloaded the latest version of the Sansa Media Conversion software. It accepts my video or photo files--their icons appear in the box--but the Convert button is always greyed out.  What am I doing wrong?  (The Delete button appears and works).

Thanks for your help!

For the newest converter (4.220) you have to have the device plugged in to get the Start option to activate. The program no longer "caches" the file to the computer.

Tired of waiting for your device to do what you need it to?

Brandon,

Thanks!  As an expert user of computers, I should have known not to follow the instructions blindly.

I am following the directions, as it states in the help file the option to convert with out the device connected:
·If your Sansa Media Player is connected, the converted video will be directly copied across; if the Sansa Media Player is not present, the video will be converted and saved to a temporary path, which you can set by clicking the Menu button, then selecting Tools and then Option.

But, as pointed out, the caching doesn't work. The mp3 player is with my daughter, but I wanted to convert files anyway. Caching could be a very useful function. Is there any chance this might be enabled? If not, a help file update seems appropriate. Thanks.
