SanDisk has just released the 01.02.09a firmware revision for the Sansa View. Download links and the release notes are available below.

For AMERICAS - You can download the .zip file by clicking on this link.
Extract the .zip file into a folder on your computer.
Once extracted, drag all five files file to the root directory of your Sansa View.
Disconnect the Sansa View and let it restart. (see notes below)
The firmware update will now begin.
Once it finally finishes doing its update, it will boot back up. Once its back to the main menu, head to "Settings / Options" > "System Settings", and verify the "Version" is now 01.02.09A.

Note - One thing to keep in mind, during the firmware update, the device may appear to be frozen. To restart the device, slide the Power Switch to the “On” position for 8 seconds. The player will “Turn Off”. Once off, turn the device back on and the firmware upgrade will proceed normally.


Previous Issues Fixed:
Player can not record after playing music
Long video may cause the player to freeze
Cannot save voice recording file and device freezes after selecting not to save record file option or after deleting recording
Player turns off LCD during photo slide show
Improve database refreshing performance
Sometimes device freezes while entering Photo A-Z option
Device can freeze during slide show if battery is low
The incorrect playtime displayed after performing forward/backward during music playback.
Brightness setting does not work if a microSD card is inserted into the player
Improved localization implementation
Various GUI fixes
