When I pull up a DVD thru the Converter Software I find a lot of VOB Files...

I've figured out that the larger files are the "movies" files, but is there no way to just convert them into one file?

On another note, I tried converting a television series (from DVD) thru the Converter and even though each larger VOB file had a diferent name , they each previewed the same video file.

It wasn't until I clicked/previewed the smaller VOB files (like 105kb or so) that the converter showed me the other videos, but I know such a small file is not the video.

Any ideas?

I have not used the Sansa converter to pull up a DVD. I usually use DvdDycrypter to copy a DVD to my HD.

I would recommend you use something like that, which will take the DVD movie and combine any VOBs into one file.

BTW, a VOB file is really an Mpg with a different extension. Check out  this post on a sister site.

Do you have trouble converting television series?

No I haven't. If the episodes are split into different VOB files, that is going to make it tough and a lot more work.

You could convert the whole DVD into one VOB file and then edit it and pull out each episode with something like WIndows Movie Maker.  Would definitely take a while though.
