I was listening to my e280 recently, and after finishing the current song it went silent. Since then, it will power on and display song titles, album art, etc., but song times remain at -0:00 and the song does not play. I've tried updating the firmware, as well as adding new songs to cause the database to refresh. It will accept new songs through Rhapsody, but it won't play these either. I had this problem once before, and that time I got fed up and formatted the player. This fixed it, but I'd rather not resort to that again. Does anyone know of a less drastic means of addressing this problem?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever find a resolution?
Is your player working as you want now?

You can try a check disk on the player by right-clicking on it, going to Properties, then to Tools.. if that doesn't work though, its gonna need to be formatted.
(Make sure both options are checked for the disk check)
