I have heard a lot of good things about any video converter. Sorry, I don't have your answer, but I am going to give it a try and if i have a problem maybe we can solve it together. :)
Hi, to everyone just wanted to know if some body can help me with the audio/video converter. I went to that website (www.anydvd converter.com) and I got the software but I must be doing something wrong bucause my video clips are still messed up. Before I coverted the video to put it in my sansa e270 it wasn't like that at all. Now the video has a very small stop and go thing it's like a spilt second but it wasn't doing that at all before that's in my pc. The video plays find on the sansa but the audio it's a little behind of the video. What can I do. or does anyone have directions for a dummy like my self.
For the E200's you will need to use the sansa media converter... the fact that it's playing at all without using the SMC is nothing short of a miracle. You can download the SMC from www.sandisk.com/support/sansa
I've used the media converter to download various videos (on two PCs) and have only gotten one to work, in sync. Seems that Sandisk has issues in this area.

What version of the SMC do you have? The Arcsoft version (very early) was notorious for lagging. I believe the latest is Intervideo 4.230 or 4.233.
I have the latest smc-4.236 from their web site on both PCs with the same result. Also it's V1 firmware and the latest.
Thanks, Roland
Hmm, the stop and go thing sounds like a problem when the SMC de-interlaces the video and goes to encode it again. Do you have a lot of programs running? (Processor use is one way this can happen). If not, I would try uninstalling the SMC and Re-installing it.
Also, what version of Windows Media Player and Quicktime do u have?
I've got Media Player 11 w/ latest updates and Quicktime 7.6.2 (latest). I've shut down any programs that might interfere; however, I'll go through it again.
Thnaks, Roland
Hmm, in that case, try uninstalling and reinstalling the SMC. It sounds like you should have everything required, so it really shouldn't be lagging.
I've exchanged emails (about six or seven) with support, try this load this, do this, and still no resolution. I can convert the file to the e260 and the audio/video are out of sync. I can then copy the file to my desktop from the e260 and play it with Quicktime and they're in sync. This tells me that the issue is with the e260.

Its possible that either the processor is dying or that the firmware has a glitch in it. Try doing a firmware rollback to something like 12A.. (its a really buggy firmware) but it will ensure that the player gets the current firmware completely wiped out. Then re-update the firmware and try the sync again.
