I need help with my sansa.  My computer does not recognize my sansa e250 I was wondering if formatting would be the best thing to do because I think it is corrupt.  So please help me out.

Try this
Change the USB mode of the player, follow these steps:

a. Tap the "Power/Menu" button of your Sansa and go to "Settings".
b. Under "Settings", there should be a "USB" option. It would then give you the choice to change it from "Auto Detect" (MTP or PlayForSure in Sansa e200R) to "MSC (Rhapsody in Sansa e200R)".

Change it to MSC mode and connect to see if that fixes it

Also, ensure that your computer meets the system requirements. Check device manager to see if the device is showing up with a "!" or "?" mark. If it's a "!" mark, right-click on the driver for the player, and select uninstall, then disconnect it and reconnect. If that fails, try right-clicking on the driver and selecting update driver.
