Hi. My name is Nilda and I'm a Sansa View owner.Cry

I just purchased this thing and have tons of questions about it starting with how do I know this thing is off? Everytime I put it down thinking is in the "off" mode, I cant ever turn it back on because the battery is drained..Yell

Is there a website with some type of manual on it? Any help will be greatly appreciated!Thanx.

To power the View completely off, slide the power switch up and hold it. You'll see goodbye come up, when that disappears, wait another 3 or 4 seconds after that then let go of the power switch
(if you watch the screen when goodbye goes away, you'll see that it's still kind of lit. It will get slightly darker when fully off)
Or upgrade your firmware to the latest version (01.03.02) and i believe the sleep feature has been removed

Also, the manual and any software you need for the View can be found at www.sandisk.com/support/sansa
