Dang girl, thats a headache. I don't have a Fuze yet but is there a way you can bypass that and still use it?
Hey there! Can ANYBODY please tell me WHY is it that every time I turn around I have to synchronize my fuze player??? I don't even use it every day--just a few days a week and it seems(even after I charge up my battery)that I get all the ways to the gym only to have to turn right around and come home because that STUPID message comes up on my player saying that it needs to be synchronized. What is the freakin' DEAL with that??? And how can I prevent this from being a problem?? ANY info would be sooo appreciated--thanks!!!
No Brandon, not unless I connect it to my computer and synchronize it to my Rhapsody, otherise, this wouldn't be an issue. What REALLY doesn't make any sense is I even had it connected to Rhapsody the night before to charge up my battery which should THEN mean that my player IS IN FACT synchronized--no? See, THAT is the part that doesn't make any sense to me at all. Now, every time I go to the gym I have to worry about my player all-of-a-sudden shutting off saying it needs to be synchronized??? That's insanity!! There's GOTTA be a way I can get around that somehow--I just don't know HOW...
tgirl,
That sounds like a huge pain in the A%%#, hopefully Apix or Brandon can help!
*cracks neck*
This is gonna be a fun one... I will go ahead and apologize in advance as this will be quite lengthy... rest up your eyes and here we go...
The Please Sync error can be caused by a few different factors...
In an ideal world, it would be caused when you haven't connected your player to the subscription service of choice, in this case you're using Rhapsody in more than 30 days.
However this can happen when this is not the case as well for a few reasons.
Rhapsody has a wonderful habit of not syncing when it's supposed to or not syncing when it says it does.
Now that we have a cause, we can move to the fix.
We'll try the easiest way first:
1. Make sure your player is in MTP mode
2. Connect the Fuze to the computer and open Rhapsody
3. Make sure you are signed in and the player is showing up under sources
4. Right click on the My Library icon under sources and select "Renew track licenses" or something really close to that, i know it says license in it. (doing this from memory)
5. Once done, Right Click on the player and select License
6. Disconnect the player and check the songs.
If your problem is fixed, ... terrific.. if not, repeat steps 1-4 above, then follow these steps:
5(2). Go to the My Account tab and select Manage My Account
6(2). After you've logged in, go to Authorizations and De-authorize the Player first, then your Computer
7. Now re-authorize the computer and close the Manage window when its done.
8. Right click on the player under sources, and select Authorize
9. Then click license again
This should fix the problem. If not the only other option is to Format the player and re-load, then just click License when ever you're connecting to rhapsody (Just in case)
Do note, that the above doesn't need to be done EVERY time. This is only to fix this problem. Once it's fixed, you simply need to Re-issue track licenses in the library (right click on Library), then right click on the player and select license. As a precaution... again rhapsody is supposed to do that on its own, but as you've seen, that doesn't always happen.
Hope this helps, again, sorry for the novel :/
Lol Apix!!! You literally crack me up every time I read your posts!! I'm gonna try what you suggested right now whereas I don't have to go to the gym tonight. If it does it again tomorrow I'll let you know--believe me...lol!! See, that's the frustrating thing about it--it doesn't happen all the time, just when I LEAST expect it. First, it will begin playing my tracks, and then out-of-the-clear-blue-sky my music stops playing with that annoying synch message coming out of nowhere. One would think (where I'm obviously not the ONLY one this happens to) that Rhapsody would get a better handle on this situation and FIX it once and for all. I even posted about this on the Rhapsody Forum with no luck whatsoever. Wish me luck and thanks again Apix my little genius!! ;o)
I'm pretty sure I'd have better luck starting a rock band with E.T as my singer, than get Rhapsody to fix something. We've been barking up that tree for quite some time... what does E.T and a rockband have to do with Rhapsody... nothing... it doesn't make sense, and that's the point... Rhapsody does not make sense...
Yikes, I may need some sleep.. anywho, let me know if it doesn't work, and we'll try something else. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.
LMAO!!! Apix--you are TOO much!! So far, I have done EVERYTHING that you told me to, so the big moment will come when I head to the gym--I hope it works. I've got a general good feeling about this, but if I should happen to blow another "fuze"( now THAT just came out of nowhere...lol)you'll defineately be hearing from me. (STILL lol from your E.T. thread)
tgirl,
I am loving this thread. Its hilarious!
Let us know how everything turned out in the gym.
Hey guys,
Just wanted to say: so far so good--ssshhh...don't wanna JINX it...lol!! I went to the gym last night and smooooth sailing, so here's to having another "synch-free" night at the gym. Like I said, it ALWAYS happens when I least expect it, so if the future pounding of my keyboard is any indication, you'll know why. I'll give it another couple of days to see what happens and I'll give you another "progress report." Thanks again--especially you Apix! :o)
So tgirl,
What happened? I am waiting for your "progress report." on your Sansa Fuze.
Don't fret Brandon...lol...I haven't forgotten! Actually, it only does it once in a while now(the synch problem) but not as often, but I HAVE noticed that when I go to switch it on, the logo will appear(as it usually does)and then it'll freeze, so what I do is switch it on & off a couple of more times and then it's fine--go figure. I don't know what THAT'S all about, but it can get pretty annoying. Other than that, as well as Apix coming to my rescue with my song amplification, my little fuze is still my baby--besides my computer, the BEST investment I ever made!
