hey guys,

I'm new the forum thing but I've got a question that I can't seem to find an answer to. I just bought a FUZE, and I'm trying to use it with an iHOME portable speaker system. My FUZE will connect to iPOD connector (snaps right on) but no audio is present from the speakers. I'm not dumb here, i know the 2 systems are probably not compatible...butt. The docking device is PERFECT for cycling, it mounts to my handle bars and has a ton of high quality sound, perfect for longer rides. So my questions is:

Can I make the Fuse link with the iHOME thing OR does Sansa(or someone else) make a compatible/compareible device?

I'd just like to see more accessories, and so far...I'm striking out. I LOVE the FUZE!! and can honestly say I'm not a iPOD fan...but they've got all the best accessories. So, I can still use the iHOME thingy with the headphone jack, but the jack is external and the device is held internally(where the adapter is). Any thoughts here would be welcome and appreciated. Thanks

Bryan

You're actually quite lucky that you haven't turned your Fuze into a paper weight yet. The Ipod connectors are wired differently and to a slightly higher amperage/voltage which normally results in a fried sansa player... so you'll definitely want to avoid using Ipod accessories with anything Sansa.
There are accessories for the Fuze. Some of which can be found at www.daydeals.com under the Sansa line. I'll look around for something similar to the Ihome and let you know what I come up with

Wow Brian you ARE lucky, but I agree--the Fuze is by far THE best MP3 player I have had so far and for a looong while to come from what I can see. For such a small player it packs quite a punch and I wouldn't trade it for anything. To better protect your baby it would be wise to invest in a silicone protective skin that they sell pretty cheaply at Amazon.com as well. That website has EVERYTHING under the sun and for good deals too. Usually the skin comes with an arm strap and belt buckle for when you're on the move so it's easier to carry. Good luck!

Re accessories...I have an Altec Lansing inMotion413 speaker/dock, one of the few available for many Sansas. My Fuze would always freeze up if I tried to change songs while it was docked, or upon removal. A pain -soft resets continually. My brain stormed today and I changed the mode from MSC to Autodetect. Voila! It works great while docked. This speaker for Sansa is now on sale at Buy.com for $40. What a deal - 1/2 what I paid.
