I like Madonna's. But a lot of people cover other's songs. Maybe they had an arrangement.
So, a few weeks ago I hear the radio man announce the newest single from Rhianna. Yeah, I know, she's like, so hot right now, right? I loved that "Umbrella" song the first 100 times I heard it. So what's the name of the pop tart's newest ditty? "Take a Bow." WTF is this? A cover of the 1994 Madonna ballad I hold in such high regard as one of the most wrenching break-up songs ever? Let's see if this girl can hold a candle to her Madgesty....
But Rhianna doesn't even get the chance.
Why would you write a song about how a break-up resembles the final act of a performance, when it's already been done so superbly by Madonna and (co-writer) Babyface? And to have the further audacity to give it the same name of what so happened to be the highest-selling single of 1995?
It's a darn rip-off. And considering how vindictive the persnickity queen of pop can be, Rhianna is lucky she isn't getting her *** sued. But then again, I guess it's not her fault because she didn't even write it.
Here is madonna's video:

I dunno; I might be coming off a little harsh. Which one do you like better?
