From their site:
* What happens to my downloaded music if I cancel my paid Rhapsody membership?
If you cancel your paid Rhapsody membership, you will automatically become a Rhapsody-Free member. Your purchased tracks and MP3s will still be playable, as they are yours to keep. Any tracks that you streamed and listened to, but did not purchase will no longer be available. You may continue to purchase MP3s from Rhapsody even if you cancel your paid membership, and you will be able to listen to 25 songs per month for free.
hi everyone i just had a quick question. i downloaded some stuff from rhapsody on my fuze. if i cancel my rhapsody account will the songs on my fuze still work or will they expire?
thank you so much
If you had Rhapsody to go and paid 14.99 for unlimited downloads, can you keep your songs once you cancel your account.
I remember reading about that somewhere. The basic answer is yes you can but I am not sure if there is anything you have to do like converting them or the such. Might try googling "canceling Rhapsody"
I was told that even with the 14.99 a month you are just renting the tracks and when you cancel you will not be able to play them any more. The reason for this is you need to update the liscense every 30 days. I do not know if this is true. I recieved a free trial with my Fuze that is due to end. I called Rhapsody themselves and this is what they told me. They told me that if I wanted to purchase the five hundred and fifty songs I have downloaded at .99 a track I could do that and then I would own them. So might want to look into it more. I know I am plus I have posted a question simaliar to yours here. Well hope that helps some.

This is from the Rhapsody website FAQ:
What happens if I cancel my Rhapsody subscription after I've downloaded music to my mobile device? Will the music still play?
-Once you have canceled your subscription, you will no longer be able to listen to the music you have downloaded from Rhapsody. You can listen to anything in our catalog and download as much music as you want to your device, as long as you are a paying member.
