Which tab are you looking at the player through? Library or Sync?
I've noticed that a lot of times, Library acts strange and doesn't show what's on the device.
Also what version of WMP do you have?
Hullo. While I'm no newbie when it comes to technology or mp3 players, I wouldn't exactly call myself an advanced user, either.
I just received my e270 - put it in the proper USB mode, updated the firmware, etc.
I use Windows Media Player for syncing to my devices.
I'm able to browse the contents/library of all my devices except the Sansa - it shows there are no files or artists on it, although I know there are - I can see and play my hundreds of songs on disconnection.
I synced a large playlist (~5GB), trhings looked fine, and it appears to have transferred to the device, and I can play them.
HOWEVER: I can't view the songs/artists etc from WMP. It states "there are no files on this device". I'd like to delete some songs from the device and sync new ones to it from WMP. Shouldn't I be able to browse the device from WMP?
Oh - it's the latest version of WMP - can't recall, but I keep things updated at windowsupdate.com.
Oh - looks like my first reply never made it through.
When you try to view the e270 in WMP under the Library tab, it says to go to the Sync tab to view files on the device.
When I go to the Sync tab, it states there are no files/artists/etc on the device. It *does* recognize accurately how much storage space is left, it just doesn't display or let me manipulate the contents.
I *can* get in through windows explorer if I choose that upon connection of the device, but I'd like to do it all in WMP - I presume other e270 users are able to do it all from WMP? (and yes, I have the latest version of both WMP and the Sansa Firmware).
Love your avatar, BTW. DOOMdoomdoomdoomdoooooooOOOOoom!!!
