This is starting to drive me nuts.  Like so many other people, I'm finding it impossible to convert and load video files to my new Sansa Fuze 4 GB.

I have Windows XP with Service Pack 2, I have downloaded the latest SMC.  The Fuze is plugged into the computer and in MTP mode when I open SMC.  I have used Any Video Converter to turn videos into AVI or MP4 format so that the SMC should read them and convert them.  Each time I have clicked on "Add Media" and then tried to open the file, the progress bar remains absolutely stuck at 0% with no sign of activity!

What hoops am I not jumping through for this??

Do you have Rhapsody? That would make a difference.

Tired of waiting for your device to do what you need it to?

Doesn't work with given configuration, video/audio out of synch... and even if it worked, I couldn't use it.

Why? Because I WONT buy an additional program just to be able to watch videos on my fuze. Obviously Sansa was the wrong choice, I regret that very much now. What is sansa media converter good for anyway? Why exactly did I spend money for a so called multimedia player that is not able to play videos, unless converted by a third party program that you have to buy to remove the watermark?

I'm deeply disappointed. That was my first and my last player from Sansa.
