I recently purchased a sansa view and overall have been pretty satisfied with it.  Like anything new thing you purchase, there is a bit of a learning curve.  It seems like alot of the learning is more with the supporting software available then the actual device itself.  I do have one issue, however, and that is with the fm radio feature.  It doesn't seem to be working.  I should also mention that I bought my wife a sansa fuse and that seems to pick up a radio signal and my sansa view doesn't.  As I said before everything else seems to work just fine.  Any suggestions?  I also have the latest firmware.  Thanks

Did you try a scan of stations on your View? Thats what I needed to do.

Tired of waiting for your device to do what you need it to?

Yes, I did try the autoscan feature and I tried it in a few different environments where I could get various radio signal strengths.  In any case, I got nothing.  Looking at the firmware listings, I appear to be using the most current.

Additionally,my sansa view is the the 16GB model.

I would have to think there is a problem with your View. Since your wife's Fuze seems to work fine.
If this has been a problem since you bought it I would call Sansa Support and maybe RMA it.

Thanks, I've been thinking in this direction.  In my case, however, I purchased it online from  Walmart using site to store.  I think I'll just take it back to the local store and then order another one online.  I guess it would be a good idea on my part to format it to get rid of all the stuff I have on it now.  Thanks.

DonS,

Let us know how the new one works.
Far as formatting, it makes me wonder how many free songs people have gotten on returned devices. :)

I ordered another one and hope to have it next week (sometime during the week of 5 Jan.) I'll post the results. Until then I need to figure out how to get my Windows Media Player better organized so I don't get the wrong stuff sync'd to my sansa view

I have similar issue with my view....it does get reception but it seems to get only 3 of our stations...when i know there are many more. And then it is pretty random...one day it will get 97.5, the next day it wont...

Thank you kindly,
Scott

I'm looking forward to getting my new view so I can see if it was just that particular one giving me problems. As I said in a previous post my wife's sansa fuze picks up stations.

Good deal. Glad it worked out but sorry you had to go to that trouble.

I have gone through 3 clips in two months. I bought the 2G model, but really don't listen to much Mp3 music. I actually bought it because I enjoy the FM feature. All three stopped playing FM functionality within two weeks of purchase. I read on another site that they won't work with the pause button on? I do not understand pause feature. What is pause feature, and how do I get the FM to work on my clip(s)....

Thank you,

PS you can send response to johnlegresley@rogers.com
