Looks like Microsoft Zune 30G players are having problems.

From: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,474690,00.html

"Microsoft Corp.'s Zune portable music player is suffering from a glitch that may have frozen thousands of units in the latest setback for the world's biggest software company."

Even Zune.net has this posted on their homepage. :)

Customers with 30gb Zune devices may experience issues when booting their Zune hardware.  We’re aware of the problem and are working to correct it.  The Zune Social might be slow or inaccessible. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience!

Tired of waiting for your device to do what you need it to?

This was hilarious. I work in IT so all of the guys were coming up with the conspiracy theories. We were laughing our heads off picturing thousands of people freaking out b/c their Zune shut down. They would be wandering the streets, in bars and coffee shops not knowing what to do with themselves. How dependent on our little electronic companions.

I to am IT staff and an owner of a Zune! However I have a 120 and a 30 as does my friend so when both of our 30s died but my 120 worked I knew it had to be something in common with the 30 and it was. Big screw up for MS. I have since sold anything Zune and now own a E200 and a view 16 and adore them both. I do not miss the Zune software at all.
