If you're not finding the external card, then how did songs get on it? Generally though, you're better off removing the songs from the player, editing them on the computer, and then re-adding them when they're fixed. In MSC mode, I can see and access the external card with MediaMonkey and WMP 11....so maybe that could be your answer.
