Sounds like a cool little program. I am not sure if Slot Music will take off but it could be handy. PM me if interested in going somewhere with this program.

if there are interested developers it will probably be open sourced and maybe some cooler features like playlist compatibility could be added (it is still in beta right now though)
Hey just a follow up, sLot Shuffle has joined google code and gone open source with the gplv3. I am still looking for some help bug-fixing for a follow up with more features anyone interested please see: http://code.google.com/p/slotshuffle (this is also where future releases will be available)
I tried to install this and it errored out trying to install Net Framework. Any ideas?
hey, sorry for the slow reply. thanks for helping test this out, first(so I can keep track of bugs), which version of slot shuffle are you using?
the 1.2 first posted at abi?
the 1.3 available at anythingbutipod now?
or one built from source?
second, which version of windows are you using? (also for bug tracking thanks!)
I'm assuming you are using 1.3 (and for this error version shouldn't be too important). It's hard to say without looking at it, but I would guess either something to do with UAC in vista or perhaps a firewall preventing the installer from connecting to Microsoft.
If you'd still like to give it a shot, (and shuffle some songs!) try downloading the .net straight from MS:

see info at:

the 3.5 .net is a rather large file (i think i read 200+MB), so apologies.
(also of note, I had trouble attempting to install .net 3.5 while having 1.0 or 2.0 previously installed, so you may have to uninstall older versions of .net first)
Thanks, and let me know if it works/doesn't.
If not don't worry too much, as I'm planning on using a different language for the next release(but if you do get .net working, there is a .m3u importing, albeit buggy, 1.4 that is still in vb.net currently on google code too).
