I can't get the deck to recognize the Sansa as a valid device. I keep getting the following message:

"USB-No Supprt"

Note that the manual for the deck (SONY CDX-GT420U) did state that it supports and controls Mass Storage Class devices (which, I'm assuming, is what the e260 is when in MSC mode)

I have not installed Rockbox, I'm running the standard firmware

On the info screen it says

Version 01.02.12A

At this point I'd just like to get the deck to recognize the e260. Then I can begin to worry about more memory issues.

I have songs copied to the root, a folder called MyMusic, and the standard Music folder.

Doesn't the Sansa firmware support basic USB connections? If my computer can see the thing, why can't the deck? Notably, the deck "sees" other mass storage devices such as a memory stick, SDHC card, etc. It also runs an ipod, but because of the ipods messed up directory structure it's not all that great.

Thanks for any help!

Did you try it in MTP mode?

Tired of waiting for your device to do what you need it to?

Even though imo it would not make sense that MTP mode would work really, I did try this a few weeks back. I will try again however, just to make sure.

Oh - would like to add - since my last post I 'upgraded' the firmware to .18. Just to be sure.
