Ok,

I bought two of this one for each of the twin boys..

They both had the 01.02.09 firmware when I got them.

I can convert movies for them to watch..

One of them will play the videos and one will not.. (unsupported format)

I have since tried to update the firmware on the one that won't play the files to 01.03.02 with the same results..

I don't get it.. even reset to factory defaults..

Reloaded video..

Anyone got a clue on this one..

These are great players and they sure beat the heck out of the last two in-car DVD players that

we used on trips before.... I dont' know what in the video the unit is tripping over..

I may be forced to find out.

BTW I am using a linux program called Hyper video converter that is a frontend for ffmpeg and mencoder..  

I pick the IPOD settings that gives me 320x240 and the usuall AAC audio etc..

Just can't get the one to play..
