I need to use an ac adaptor because I'm going to be without a computer and a car for a while. When I tried an adaptor, my Sansa (8gb) turned off and stayed off. I couldn't get it turned on. The computer wouldn't recognize it. I returned it and the adaptor to the store.

Would you recommend another Sansa, and if so, what brand of adapator should I get?

Is there something I could have done to get my Sansa to work again? I really like it. I listen to audiobooks as well as music. It is great for both.
