My 4 week old clip has suddenly started to display the 'connected' message after I disconnect it from the computer. None of the controls work and I cannot even switch it off. It just runs down the battery. I reconnect it to recharge and it just does the same over and over. Can I reset?

I would try a hard reset, that usually fixes weird problems like this. A hard reset should work no matter how wonky the unit has decided to become :)

If a hard reset does not work you could have bigger problems... let us know how it works.

Ok,thanks. But exactly what is a hard reset and how do i do it? I have sorta fixed it by holding the off switch down for about 20 seconds then it switches off. On turning it back on I can access the menu. However, the battery indicator is flashing and there is only around an hour of power available.
