Hi,

When I make folders within Music for specific artists it doesn't work right. Or probably I'm not doing it right. It's looks fine on the computer, but when I turn on sansa it will divide them - there will be 2 listings for same artists with different songs in each folder. Or the folders won't show up and the songs will be listed individually instead of in the folders I made. And then some show up correctly. Confusing!

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Check the properties on each file, (right click over the file), when properties window opens, check the right hand tab and choose advanced, there you can check that all the artists names are written correctly or at least the same, that way sansa will group them under the same artist. In that place you can change track #, album etc, to group your music as you like. Be careful, this has to be done in the pc before transfering them to the sansa, after changes are made, click on apply and done and then you transfer them to your sansa.

Also make sure that you use standard letters and numbers. Things like p!nk will work on the computer, but they may not work on the player for folder names in many cases. Also make sure you do not add "/" or "\" in the file names. On some OSs you can do that, on the player and on Windows/DOS based machines that indicates a subfolder and it will try to organize it that way.
