I have about 8 Sansa mp3 players. Recently I was given a new iPOD NANO. I used it for about a week with no problems. Then I accidentally hooked it up to my computer with a SANSA adaptor. I was already aware they are not the same pin to pin configuration (because SANSAs won't work on the many iPOD attachment audio accessories on the market). The iPOD remained inert, it didn't light up, the computer didn't see it. So I detached the iPOD and put on the correct adaptor. But ever since then the computer can't see the iPOD. It says USB device not recognized. Nothing else has happened. The iPOD still works except it won't even take a charge from the USB while it is not recognized.

Did attaching it to the computer via SANSA adaptor fry something?
