confirmed! I can't use SMC to convert video for my Fuze, and I have to use Jet Audio to do it
Categories: Other Tools and Software
Hi- I have had a Sansa Fuze since November 2008. When I installed the Media Converter on my first laptop (running Window Vista), I had no problem converting media.
However, I got a new computer which runs Windows 7 early this year and installed Sansa Media Converter. Whenever I download a video and try to convert it, even in AVI and MPEG, it would alway end in error. At first, I wondered if it might have been a problem in the installation, so I uninstalled it and reintalled it 2 times.
I then wondered if there may have been something wrong with the lastest update of it that may cause it to malfunction with windows 7. So I went back to my old computer, which then had been updated with the newest version. The conversions (despite being very slow), went through fine.
So this leads me to conclude that media converter is not compatible with Windows 7.
Would anyone happen to know a way around this problem, such as another video converter for Sansa Fuze or when a fix for this may be coming out? (I have tried to search the website for known issues about the media converter but saw nothing.)
Your help would be much appreciated.
