I've had an 8GB sansa e280 for a long time just sitting around since I can't figure out something. I'm sure it is easy but since I've never used mp3 players before, I'm clueless.
I had purchased the sansa along with the complete Bible on CD in MP3 format, for the express purpose of listening to it on walks outside. But I've never been able to successfully get it loaded up (at least correctly, in my view).
Maybe it's inherent in how the CDs are set up, but I would think these are expresslly made for transferring to mp3 players, so it must be just me.
The Bible set has 6 CDs. For example, on the first CD are five folders for the first five books of the Bible and labeled like this: 01 Genesis, 02 Exodus, 03 Leviticus.... etc. Inside each folder are all the chapters, like inside the 01 Genesis folder is: Alexander Scourby Genesis 01, Alexander Scourby Genesis 02,....etc.
I had copied them directly to the sansa but all the books of the Bible ended up alphabetically, not chronologically. Or I forget now if they also/instead grouped them by the numbers, like all the 01 folders from the 6 CDs were first or all the first chapters were grouped together than all the second chapters etc. I forget now, since it's been a long time, but basically the problem is I don't know how to keep them by book. It was the same if I copied them into windows media player. I thought maybe I need drage around to re-organize them into the right books once it's downloaded but that will take forever!
Maybe I just don't understand how to keep things a certain way in windows media player or something. Can someone hand-hold me through this? A few years of these laying around seems like such a waste when it's probably just ignorance on my part!
