How to Extract Audio from DVD and VCD

Exact Audio Copy is a so called audio grabber for audio CDs using standard CD and DVD-ROM drives. The main differences between EAC and most other audio grabbers are: It is free (for non-commercial purposes) It works with a technology, which reads audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that can’t be corrected, it will tell you on which time position the (possible) distortion occurred, so you could easily control it with e.g. the media player With other audio grabbers you usually need to listen to every grabbed wave because they only do jitter correction. Scratched CDs read on CD-ROM drives often produce distortions. But listening to every extracted audio track is a waste of time. Exact Audio Copy conquer these problems by making use of several technologies like multi-reading with verify and Accurate Rip. Tips: Download an external encoder for the audio format you wish to use. Rarewares is an excellent web site to find external encoders for audio formats. Part two: How to Extract Video from DVD and VCD Before extracting video from DVD or VCD, you should understand the following knowledge： What is DVD? : refers to http://www.videohelp.com/dvd If you've ever explored the contents of...

World's Largest Capacity Card for Mobile Phones - 12GB from SanDisk

SanDisk Corporation, one of the manufacturer leaders in flash memory, just announced it has begun to sample 12GB microSDHC flash memory cards to major phone manufacturers for testing and evaluation. The 12GB card represents a 50 percent boost in card capacity from SanDisk’s industry-leading 8GB microSDHC cards, which are currently available worldwide, and highlights the growing popularity of mobile phones with storage intensive features that include music players, digital cameras, video recording and playback and GPS capabilities. "Mobile phones have become a key part of consumers' lifestyles around the globe," said Jeff Kost, senior vice president and general manager of the Mobile Consumer Solutions division at SanDisk. "What many people tend to overlook is the important role that removable storage cards play in enabling the key features of these fully featured mobile phones. In fact, many people are not even aware that their phone has a card slot which is why SaDisk recently launched its Wake Up Your Phone campaign." A 12GB microSDHC is ideal for storing large quantities of music, photos and video. For example, it will be able to store a combination of 1,500 songs, 3,600 photos and 24.5 hours of video. SDHC is the designation for any...

Sansa Fuze

On 5 December 2007 SanDisk filed for a trademark for the name Sansa Fuze. While the name Sansa Fuze could apply to any Sansa audio/video product, I’m guessing that this will be the player rumored to be SanDisk's answer to Apple’s iPod touch. Fuze could be short for fusion, or the combination/integration of music, videos, the internet, photos etc.

SanDisk made some jaws drop this morning on the CES showroom floor, a few hours ahead of the company's scheduled press conference: MicroSDHC cards with 12 GB of storage are on the way! The cards are tiny, and they have more storage space than an iPod nano. Unfortunatley, if you are frothing at the mouth for this , its a technology release, not a product releas, meaning SanDisk has announced the availability of the 12 GB card to its handset manufacturing partners, and thus there is no specific pricing or time table for market release yet. But the 12 GB microSDHC card will be compatible with the same applications that the previous 8 GB microSDHC cards from SanDisk were.

Bought my first memory card for my 2GB SanDisk. Do I have to format the card? Neither the SanDisk nor my XP PC will recognize the additional memory. Yes, I checked the remaining capacity of the SanDisk when it was not connected to the PC. Yes, I put the card in correctly. There's no other way to put it in. Do I have to format the card or tell the SanDisk something? Help!

Use TakeTv with your Mac

Gear Live just posted a video on how the SanDisk Sansa TakeTV operates. Although the production quality is not that great, how they used a Mac to put videos on the TakeTV was interesting. Although SanDisk does not officially say you can use TakeTV with a Mac, this video will show you how they did it. Very simple actually, if you have a Mac try it out. The rest of the video is nice if you have never seen how easy it is to use the TakeTV and want to see how it works. Check out the video. What do you think? If you were thinking about investing in a TakeTV does this help to explain the product and how it works better?
