Write Protectaed Files

Can anyone give me a clue? I have a Sansa Fuze 8 gb and I use it for audiobooks almost exclusively. When I'm trying to remove some of the books I've already read, I get the following: Cannot delete (Title): The storage is write protected. Remove the write-protection and try again. I would like to know how to remove said "write-protection". I haven't had any luck with the manual or any of the sites I've searched. Thanks. the bookworm
[Read more]

Sansa Fuze+ Lock/Hold Button

I purchased a 16 GB and an 8GB Fuze+ for my children. When we first used them, the lock command (press/hold play/pause for 3 seconds) worked. Then the firmware updated to 2.38.06A and now pressing and holding play/pause does not lock the device. Is there a new command sequence to accomplish this or is this version of the firmware simply broken?

Hi, I recently inherited my husband's Samsung 8gb micro sd card class 2 from his HTC Inspire phone. We upgraded his phone to a 16 gb and i thought i could use his 8gb card in my fuze. I have been using a Kingston 8gb class 4 card for several years, i put all my audible books on it, and it works great. I have used an adaptor to put this Samsung card into my SD card slot on my laptop, then deleted all the files off of it. That didn't work, so i formated the card using the formatter on my Vista laptop. The card still doesn't work. When i put it in the Fuze, and attach it to my computer, Windows Explorer sees it and tells me i have 7.40 gb free. So i tried to transfer an audio book to it with Overdrive, the usual way that works, and i get an error message: (Cannot create folder: The Portable player (Sansa Fuze 8gb - external uSD Card") does not support this function."So i tried the same thing on my other external card and it worked fine. Audible Manager doesn't recognise the card either. when i plug the...

Not Connecting to computer

I'm not exactly sure when i got this sansa... it was either Late 2010 or early 2011... I'm thinking within the first few months of 2011. I've been using it just fine. My sansa went dead and normally it takes a minute or two to turn on when i connect it to the computer for it to charge. This time though, It won't connect no matter what computer i plug it into. No screen pops up from the player, and no notification pops up on the computer. I tried resetting it too. But I'm not sure why it's not working.

Sansa fuze - 8gb Sandisk 32gb microSD Up to now, I load a folder onto SD, right-click, and create a playlist. All of a sudden some of the playlists don't show up on the device, although they're still there when viewed through the computer. I have the USB settings set to Automatic. Would anyone have any idea what is going on? Thanks in advance.

Battery Shorted?

I charged my Sansa over night as usual then unplugged it from my computer and put it in my brief case. A couple hours later I pulled it out and noticed it felt very warm, especially the lower right hand corner on the back. I tried to turn it on and nothing would happen. I don't have mu documentation with me. Whats the best way to contact tech support? I got it as a Christmas present so I don't think I have a receipt. Suggestions?
