lossy codecs+ conversion= more loss?

So all my ripped CD's are 192 MP3, and the other day, to squeeze a few more songs in the internal memory, I changed the sync setting on WMP11 to 128. I didn't notice anything amiss, with my Sony MDR-V150's(listenable only with heavy EQ adjustments....not the best $15 I've spent), but I noticed when I was drag&dropping a podcast that the conversion WMP performed when syncing those songs wasn't just bitrate, it was from MP3 to wma. I haven't tried the Skullcandys yet....my ears don't like earbuds too much. I've read that wma is supposed to do better at lower bitrates than mp3, I just wonder if I lost anything with the extra conversion. I didn't notice with casual listening, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. It didn't faze the Fuze tho...lol Edit: In trying to research this, I came across wma vbr...I know wmp11 can do it, but will the fuze play it, and sound good? I still have all my original 192 mp3's safely on dvd, but this would allow a lot more songs on the fuze...the above wma conversions still sound fine even on the skullcandy.

As great as my Skullcandy Ink'd buds sound, my ears are very pressure sensitive(even to elevation changes on a road trip), so over the ear would be easier on me. Just wondering what y'all would recommend. I like bass but not at the expense of everything else, like so many of the cars that go by

How to Remove DRM from iTunes AAC M4V M4P on Win and Mac

ITunes DRM files include AAC, M4V and M4P. If you don't remove itunes DRM it’s impossible to play them on any Apple incompatible devices, like Zune, Creative Zen, PSP, mobile Phone, etc. This turns out really bad if you want to buy a new mp3 player which is not manufactured by Apple. So, The way not to delete itunes DRM files, you could try some methods or programs that remove DRM off of the iTunes files. Please note that using programs might be illegal in the country where you are living, make sure you know what you are doing before downloading and using them. 1. Remove iTunes DRM protection using iTunes + CD-R Follow these 5 steps: Create an iTunes playlist containing your purchased songs. Insert a blank CD-R or a CD-RW. Burn the playlist to disk. Re-import the songs after a successful burn. Deleting the original purchased tracks. 2. Remove iTunes DRM with DRM software in Windows One of these program is Daninusoft Media Converter Pro which can remove iTunes DRM with its newest version (2.2.1.0). The reason I list it here is the newest version has modified its two major disadvantages compare with the former one: 1. Be...
