Is there a better (faster) way to sync a playlist than Media Player. It takes about an hour to sync around 5gig playlist just to update a few songs. My ipod took about 4 minutes to do the same with itunes. Is Media Player the only front end for the Sansa e260?

Hi Sansa Community! I've gone & lost the software for my Sansa Connect, and am now on a new PC to boot. I've downloaded Yahoo! Music Jukebox, and it will not recognise my player. I'm wondering if there was some other software that I needed to hook up the device so based around connectivity. :/ (yes sansa, that's a little gripe from a little nobody). I can't use the PC I had originally to connect the software, so that's right out, and quite frankly I'm at my wits end. HELP! (oh, and thank you as well)

I have a Sansa e280. I made a playlist in my library, which I can see and listen to. I want to get it onto my player, but when I sync it, it doesn't seem to work. It doesn't give me an error message or anything, but when I look for the playlist on my player, I can't find it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong!! So my other problem is that my player seems to be losing some of my songs. I have albums that I have ripped and synced onto my player. I have listened to them before on my player, but recently, when I go to play the few albums where this is occurring, it will have half the songs' titles as being "Unknown". My player will not play those songs and just skips to the next "available" song in that album or whatever. I don't know what the problem is, or if maybe there is something wrong with my specific player. If anyone out there has any tips, I would appreciate it!!

Any other bibliophiles around here? I've always loved reading, and I never thought I'd like listening to audio books until I was commuting 3-4h/day. After spending so much time in the car, I gave it a shot and now I love them! If you like audio books, what's in your library? Where do you get your content from? There are quite a few sites on the 'net for book downloads. Which ones are your favorites?

Do you organize your playlists in a certain way? I know a few people who have special playlists for various moods they're in, and others I know arrange it all by artist. I don't do either of those things, but I do have a special playlist for long drives. There's a lot of AC/DC in that one. What's on your playlists?

Voice recorder quality?

I'm looking at purchasing the sansa e280 primarily to use to record lectures at school. I'd like to hear about anyone's experience using the voice recorder on their e-series sansa. I'm curious about the microphone's performance for recording in a lecture hall. I have no doubt the mic would work well for making brief notes to yourself, but how good of a job does the pinhole mic work when a speaker paces back and forth about 15-25 feet away? Also, does the recorder have a maximum length of time that a single recording can be or can I record as long as I have available memory space? Please provide your own experiences. Thanks.
School us on podcasts?

I'm just starting to ramp it up -- on podcasts. Up until now I've been doing music straight. So I'd like to hear from people who have more experience... I know a little, but need more questions: 1) sharing podcasts with friends --> what do you use to make podcasts, do you load them on the desktop/laptop and then transfer them to mp3s? 2) RSS feeds: I want to listen to NPR and Amy Goodman on my MP3 player. Anyone already worked this through? 3) Lectures: I've been listening to lectures by Richard Dawkins (leading evolutionary biologists) on science, religion and society -- but mainly on youtube. Is there a decent "clearing house" of great podcasts -- similar to what youtube does for video? 4) I listen to "TWIT" (a podcast of This Week In Tech) -- but I listen to it one episode at a time. There is a "subscribe" feature on Yahoo podcasts -- what I'm wondering tho.... is there a way to put a Yahoo podcast on your Yahoo Music Unlimited, so that I can subscribe to it with mySansa connect?

How hard is it to replace the original firmware if you don't like the changes? And what exactly does rockbox do for you?
